Sony speeds up VAIO

Sony has launched the PCGR505MP, the first B5 VAIO to incorporate a 1.2GHz Pentium III processor. The new notebook incorporates a CD-RW/DVD combo drive, i.LINK connection, Memory Stick slot, USB, network port and internal modem and comes with a docking station. It comes installed with Windows XP Professional as well as a suite of multimedia software titles. The notebook comes standard with 256MB SDRAM and a 40GB hard drive and uses the Intel 830MG chipset. The PCGR505MP is intended to replace the PCGR505BP.
