CMV Polyview

The latest 17-inch LCD monitor from CMV, the CT-723, has arrived in Australia. The CT-723 features 16-millisecond pixel response time and 400cd/m2 brightness with a contrast ratio of 500:1. With stereo speakers mounted on the bezel, the CT-723 has an anti-glare screen and a wide viewing angle of 160 degrees. The monitor has Vesa-mounting capabilities and a three-year national on-site warranty that includes the backlight. The CMV CT-723A comes in silver and is also available with the DVI option. The CT-723 is distributed by Impact Systems, Digiland and HiTech Distribution. RRP: $899


The AOC LM721 is a 17-inch TFT LCD monitor housed in a dual-tone cabinet. The LM721 boasts 1280 x 1024 resolutions, 16-millisecond pixel response time and a contrast ratio of 450:1. It has an easy to use On Screen Display (OSD) control and comes with built-in speakers. The monitor is wall-mountable using a Vesa arm and Kensington Security Slot compliant. It is perfect for both business and home with support for both PC and Mac environments with a built-in VGA port. All the AOC monitors come with three-year on-site warranty service support. Panasonic e.view

The e.view is the newest 17-inch LCD to emerge from Panasonic. It features a 16-millisecond response time, a contrast ratio of 450:1 and 260cd/m2 brightness. The slim design LCD has a pixel pitch of 0.264mm, a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 @75Hz and an anti-glare glass screen. With a horizontal viewing angle of 140 degrees, the e.view features auto adjust functionality, onscreen digital controls and plug and play capabilities. It suits both PC and Mac environments. LG L3020A and L3000A

LG’s 30-inch LCD monitors are available in two models, the L3020A (with detachable speakers) and L3000A. These monitors combine LG Flatron cutting edge technology and stylish design, digital video interface (DVI) connectivity and excellent compatibility with various AV (RCA Jack, S-Video) devices. The L3020A has D-TV Ready as standard. It features 450cd/m2 brightness, 400:1 contrast ratio (typical) and a wide viewing angle of 176 degrees horizontal. The screen resolution is 1280 x1024 @60Hz. The L3020A and L3000A are distributed by BBF, BCN, ESPCO, Galas, Leader, Omega and Today Tech.

BenQ FP767-12

The FP767-12 17-inch LCD features a 12-millisecond pixel response time, the fastest LCD response time in the world, according to BenQ. It offers a pixel pitch of 0.264mm, a 500:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 300 cd/m2 for photo realistic images. Featuring a resolution of 1280 x 1024, the FP767-12 has a D-sub input connector, built-in speakers and a black/silver frame. It will be available in Australia by the end of March.
