Lako Pacific has been appointed the sole Australian distributor for TwinHan Technology digital television reception products for PCs.
The move follows Lako’s recent restructuring after the divestment of their Pineapplehead sports graphics business in December last year.
The products are to be distributed under the name Vision Plus, and offer users the chance to view high definition (HD) television through their PCs or notebooks.
"This is the right product at the right time," said Lako Pacific CEO Evan Kourambas. "It sits totally with what we've been doing for the past 12 years.
"With this agreement we hope to capture the growing interest in broadcast digital television and bring it to desktop and notebook PC users."
Digital TV tuner cards cost up to $800 less than a set-top box, and can be used to view, time-shift or burn live terrestrial free-to-air, satellite and cable television.
All products in the range are capable of receiving both standard definition (SD) and high definition (HDTV) content.
