Security flaw in Notes 4.6 client

Lotus Development officials last week said the chances that a security flaw in the Notes 4.6 client might be exploited are minute, while announcing that the problem would be addressed in a forthcoming patch and in the Notes Release 5 upgrade.

The Notes 4.6 client loophole results from a feature in the software that lets developers preview Domino-based applications. When used to preview them, the Version 4.6 front ends could be exploited for unauthorised access to Domino databases.
