Emerson Network Power Australia Appoints Taktikos As NSW/ACT Sales Manager

 • 01 March, 2007 11:07

Emerson Network Power Australia has appointed Spiro Taktikos to the position of NSW/ACT Sales Manager.

Taktikos was previously the National Business Development Manager for Emerson’s Global Services unit, and has moved into the role as the company positions itself for growth in its largest Australian market.

“In the last few years we’ve observed the shift toward higher density computing in IT infrastructure environments, and these are the major targets for us,” says Taktikos.

“These facilities demand increased mission-critical power, which in turn generate high heat loads, and Emerson is best positioned to solve these issues. We will continue to build on our position as the only company in Australia providing turnkey business-critical continuity technology for every aspect of data centre power protection, precision cooling, equipment racking and monitoring.”

Taktikos has more than 19 years’ industry experience, having begun his career with Emerson as an apprentice service technician working with Emerson’s Liebert-branded precision air products. He then built up his experience with a spell at Sola Australia (now Eaton Power Quality), where he became National Sales Manager for customer solutions.

For the past two years he was responsible for managing some of Australia’s largest national customer accounts and the Global Services business development team, dedicated to the maintenance and on-site repair of critical computer support systems.

In his new role, his responsibilities will include managing Emerson’s enterprise sales teams in NSW and ACT, which oversees sales for Uninterruptible Power Systems, Precision Air Conditioning Systems, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches and Connectivity solutions.

“The challenge for today's IT manager – and the key benefit of what we offer – is to plan beyond short term infrastructure upgrades and accommodate long term growth through the implementation of Adaptive Architecture solutions that scale with their business.”
