This is the premise Great Plains Software is relying on with its announcement of a flat-pricing system for its mid-market financial management applications, Dynamics.
The Sydney-based financial management software vendor has implemented a single pricing system for financial management applications for relational or flat-file databases. The new policy breaks an international industry standard of charging premiums when financial applications are used with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
"Great Plains has restructured its pricing to reflect a shift in the marketplace," said managing director of Great Plains Software Rob Kirkey.
