Neural Solutions, a Sydney-based Lotus Business Partner, has arrived back from the recent Lotusphere in Florida hoping to reap the benefits of the overwhelming interest that Lotusphere attendees showed for its Just-In-Time (JIT) Lotus-learning support product range.
Damien O'Neill, Neural Solutions' spokesperson, expects to finalise first sales at the beginning of March. Reluctant to reveal the names involved in the ongoing negotiations, O'Neill claims that "there are two customers, one from the UK and one from America, who decided to purchase Neural Solutions' product as a result of seeing it at Lotusphere".
Apart from the two unnamed potential clients, O'Neill claims to have come back from Lotusphere with "a number of customers that Neural Solutions will continue to deal with", adding that the response was "astonishing" and involved enquiries about, among others, its French, Spanish and Norwegian versions. Yet again, there was no naming of clients, only the assurance that the clients will be made public upon finalising of the deal.
"We went to Lotusphere to resell the product in a new environment, which is what these events are for, and this is what we managed to do. However, it was surprising to see how fast visitors to our stall were in pinpointing the connection between JIT products and resolution of business problems," O'Neill said.
The four JIT products announced in Orlando constitute the funding stone of Neural Solutions' Integrated Performance Support (IPS) for Notes, which includes Wisdom for Notes, as well as SelfHelp for Notes, Proficiency Manager for Notes, and the not yet available Profiler for Notes. According to O'Neill, Wisdom for Notes, an online context-sensitive teaching tool with step-by-step guidelines and a monitoring facility, proved to be the most popular of the four.
