<p>Sydney, AUSTRALIA – December 12, 2003 – Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) and QLogic Corp. (NASDAQ:QLGC), the company that powers storage area networks (SANs), today announced that they have formed a relationship enabling Hitachi Data Systems to resell QLogic 2Gb SANblade host bus adapters (HBAs) to its broad base of enterprise customers.</p>
<p>"Hitachi Data Systems recognises QLogic as a technology leader with established and increasing market share in storage networking infrastructure," said Mr Michael Cremen, General Manager of Hitachi Data Systems Australia/New Zealand.
