German consumers and small businesses seeking cheap telephone service in addition to high-speed Internet access can plug into a new offering next month.
QSC, a provider of DSL service to both homes and enterprises, is to launch a VoIP service targeting the residential market on December 1.
It would be Germany’s first such service, the company said.
It comes as interest in public VoIP service grows worldwide.
Chairman and chief executive officer of US phone company, Qwest Communications International, Richard Notebaert, recently announced plans to roll out a VoIP service to the mass market in Minnesota.
Internet telephony is becoming a popular service in the small and medium-size business (SMB) market.
