MGE added two high-power versions to its Pulsar EXtreme C range in March, Pulsar EXtreme 2200C and 3200C, designed to protect critical applications or high-availability VoIP networks. The units consume two rack units (2U) for easy integration in networking and telecom bays. Battery extension units are the same size and the system can be converted to tower or rack format. Both Pulsar EXtreme 2200C and 3200C are supplied with a complete rack-installation kit (rails, screws). To make life easier for administrators, the systems come with a remote-supervision solution with UPS connection to an Ethernet 10/100 network via a simple Web interface (SNMP/Web card) or via integration in network-management platforms such as HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli Netview or CA Unicenter.
RRP: Pulsar EXtreme 2200C, $1680 (reseller buy); Pulsar EXtreme 3200C, $2450
