Multimedia and gaming distributor Innovision Technology recently took over the Australian distribution of the Canopus Pure 3Dfx products, a market where Creative Pacific used to operate. Probably best known for its Pure3D 2 voodoo graphics cards, which it claims to be the only voodoo 2 card with a TV-Out port, Canopus manufactures a whole range of graphics-based peripherals with increasing appeal in gaming markets. Also featuring an on-board fan, the Canopus Pure3D 2 card has a recommended retail price of $669.
As the only company Microsoft has so far allowed to use its force feedback technology, Canopus will next month launch a USB steering wheel utilising this gaming enhancement. Additionally, a USB joystick and Flight throttle control will be available soon after.
