Epson has confirmed the appointment of Synnex Australia to replace Digiland for the distribution of its volume inkjet, laser and dot matrix printers and scanners.
Digiland had confirmed the parting of the ways with Epson several weeks ago.
Epson was amongst the vendors that it had planned to hand over to eXeed before merger talks between the two distributors collapsed in September.
Epson’s director of marketing communications, Mike Pleasants, said the migration to Synnex would be a smooth transition, as it was already acting as a sub-distributor for the products.
“There is no real change in the flow of products through to the market, and the change gives Epson the opportunity to work more closely with Synnex,” he said.
Synnex takes over the distribution from this week.
There were no changes to Epson’s existing distribution arrangements for its consumables, Pleasants said.
