Hitachi Data Systems appoints new Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand

<p>Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), has promoted Timothy Smith to be the new Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>Previously a Product Marketing Manager with the company, Mr Smith will be responsible for the company’s marketing functions in Australia and New Zealand with his new appointment. He will be based in the Sydney office and will report directly to Mr Michael Cremen, General Manager of Hitachi Data Systems Australia/New Zealand.</p>
<p>Mr Cremen said, “Hitachi Data Systems is pleased to have Timothy Smith lead our marketing efforts in Australia and New Zealand. Timothy’s knowledge and experience in the storage industry will help steer and further strengthen our company’s market share in this region.”</p>
<p>Mr Smith has an extensive knowledge of the storage industry having served in product marketing and business development roles for seven years. While he was Hitachi Data Systems’ Product Marketing Manager – Midrange &amp; Channel, Mr Smith was responsible for developing and executing marketing programs for the company’s midrange products through the channel for the last two years.</p>
