Shriro Australia, the distribution arm for the Casio brand, is distributing Casio’s latest edition to its EXILIM series of LCD digital cameras, the EX-Z3. The 3.2 megapixel camera features a 3X optical zoom lens, a two-inch screen, 10MB built-in flash memory and a SD/MMC memory card slot. It also includes a coupling shot mode and a pre shot mode that freezes part of the shot so users can compose the picture they want. World time and alarm functions also make the camera great for travelling. To download photos, users connect the EX-Z3 cradle to a computer’s USB port and Casio’s Photo Loader software automatically transfers the files. Other bundled software includes Photohands for image editing, USB driver, Internet Explorer, DirectX and Acrobat Reader. The camera is also Epson USB direct print compliant.
Retail pricing has yet to be announced. The EX-Z3 is due out in April.
