Octal8 seeks reseller partners

A Queensland software developer, Octal8, is inviting resellers in NSW to join it in tapping into the booming building industry with its business management software, Bizprac Professional.

The software has seen major take up within the industry. According to the vendor, it is Australia’s most widely used building industry specific package.

With more than 6000 registered commercial users, the software covers all aspects of estimating, job costing, project management and accounting. There are a range of complementing products including options for 4Pay (Payroll), CostLinx (online pricing) and Bizprac Gold — a solution for companies with an annual turnover of more than $40 million, or more custom requirements.

However, Octal8 corporate sales manager, Aaron Robinson, said the company intended to broaden its reach and penetrate new markets through a newly appointed reseller base.

Up until now, Octal8 has been supplying its software direct to its customers, but in order to maintain its growth, the developer has realised the need to partner with IT resellers.

“We’re particularly interested in making inroads into the Sydney market where the building industry is booming and there are enormous opportunities for us to take our product to new markets,” Robinson said.

Octal8’s software is sold on a subscription basis and resellers receive between 20 and 30 per cent on initial subscription sales and ongoing yearly renewals.
