Tasmanian hardware tender winners announced

The Tasmanian Government has announced the vendors and resellers included in its C150 hardware tender, that has been estimated by a government spokesperson to be worth $20 million per annum over the next three years.

The contract certifies hardware vendors and their nominated resellers to supply computers and printers to Tasmanian Government agencies without the need for a new tender every time an agency requires new equipment.

The vendors making the list are: Acer, Apple, Computer Trader, Dell, Epson, HP, HDS, Hypertronics, IBM, Ipex, Iris Computing, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Micro-Tech, Omega, Optima, Sun and Toshiba.

The resellers nominated by the successful vendors are: Alphawest, ComputerLand, Comstra, Computer Trader, Hypertronics, Information Solution Works, Iris Computing, LogicaCMG, Micro-Tech, Omega, The Mac Shop, TOPS Office and Business Systems and Wise IT.

The contract runs until the end of December 2006.
