Already well known for building some of Australia's largest networks, Cisco Systems Australia opted for a different kind of network in delivering its most recent monthly update for customers and resellers. The presentation was broadcast live from Sydney and beamed via satellite simultaneously around the country. Managing director Scott Ferguson said that use of satellite technology was able to show what the products looked like rather than just present slides. Ferguson said Cisco will eventually use satellite broadcasts throughout the entire region, with access to Sky Channel equipment. The next broadcast is scheduled for October.
