Mitsui adds PC networking to range

Commonly known for its distribution role in the Macintosh arena, Mitsui Computer has strengthened its push into the PC market by signing an agreement with networking vendor Allied Telesyn International (ATI).

According to Mitsui network and communications product marketing manager, Mark Jackson, the ATI range will provide Mitsui with the ability to provide complete solutions. "Mitsui has had a very strong role in supplying networking products to the Macintosh area for quite some time. Our products have been very much in the Macintosh area in the past, and it's nice to widen the scope."

Jackson says the signing of ATI does not represent a move out of the Macintosh sphere. "The Macintosh market is still strong, especially in the pre-press area. Bringing on ATI offers us some additional switch products which we don't have currently." by Brad Howarth
