TradePac debuts for small businesses

Aimed at the estimated 900,000 small business organisations in Australia is a new accounting package that includes integrated sales tracking, quotations and job costing modules.

TradePac was developed by Corporate Task Force, and the company is actively looking for resellers through a scheme that will guarantee sales leads.

TradePac comes in just two versions - both for a fixed price. The network version retails for $2800 for between two and any number of users. The single user version retails for $1500Keeping track of businessSupport charges are fixed at $800 a year for the network version and $400 a year for the single user package.

Operator training will depend on experience with computers and accounting systems but is likely to be between 20 and 30 hours at $80 per hour.

"We believe the fixed price approach to TradePac as well as the totally integrated nature of the product will make it extremely attractive for resellers," said Scott Enfield, general sales manager for Corporate Task Force.

"TradePac takes the place of many separate packages such as sales tracking systems, spreadsheets, job costing and word processing and accounting," said Enfield.

"Not all of these separate packages integrate easily and they all require separate operating manuals."

Corporate Task Force is better known for a fully featured accounting system - SAMM. The company was founded in 1983 and won the Australian Small Business Award for NSW in 1990.

Hardware requirements for TradePac are 100MHz processor with 8Mb of memory, 1.2Gb disk drive, CD-ROM and sound card.
