John Costello joins ARN team
John Costello, renowned IT journalist, has been appointed business editor at Australian Reseller News. He had been working for us part-time, but as part of our expansion he has moved into residence.
John has worked for over 20 years in the IT press. In 1978 he became the founding editor of ComputerWorld. Then, after a brief stint with research firm IDC, John was appointed information technology editor for the Financial Review from 1981 to 1985. At ARN John will cover a number of beats, including news. He will specialise in company and personal profiles.

Symantec infects TV channels
Symantec is taking to TV to raise the awareness of computer viruses through an advertising campaign for Norton AntiVirus and Symantec AntiVirus for Macintosh.
Developed by Oracle Advertising, the campaign will explain how users' computers can be infected by a computer virus through downloading files from the Internet and using e-mail as well as using infected floppy disks.
Systems Union offers incentive
Systems Union has launched a sales incentive for its resellers - the first of its kind. Running for three months, the winner will get a trip to San Francisco to attend the International SunCentre Conference in December.
The conference brings together Systems Union's resellers (SunCentres) from around the world.
The winner of the trip will be the SunCentre with the highest percentage margin over a three-month sales target.
