Sqribe looking for partners
SYDNEY - Report writing tool SQR Server now has a direct presence in Australia and its developer Sqribe Technologies, is looking for local resellers and ISVs to be its applications partners.
Optimised for thin client reporting, SQR Server gives scalable solutions for delivering information across enterprises.
With a single pass of a database it can create multiple reports, web pages and database transactions.
US-based Sqribe (it is pronounced "scribe") has managed to get PeopleSoft, Hyperion and Clarify to use its SQR Server technology as their preferred enterprise reporting solution.
The company already has a presence here with installations at ANZ Banking Group, BHP, NSW Roads & Traffic Authority and University of New England.
"We're looking for Australian applications developers that can take advantage of our technology as their thin client reporting tool," said Arthur Jones, managing director of Sqribe Technologies for the Asia-Pacific region.
"We have already identified several companies that we will be talking to but we know there are many others that have developed specific applications that could take advantage of our products in the client/server environment," said Jones.
One of the advantages of SQR Server is it can be ported to almost any combination of database and platform environment. In the US, Sqribe is in technology partnerships with Oracle, Informix and Sybase.
Originally know as MITI, Sqribe Technologies' products were handled by Sybase. Sqribe is a privately held company.
