Lotus is set to hit the small to medium enterprise market with a package of goodies it hopes will drag in more business for resellers.
The company is pitching its highly successful Lotus Notes groupware package at smaller companies. The package - Work the Web - will include other applications designed specifically for small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
Included is a human resources application, Kappa, a sales tracking system from ICS and Centaur purchasing systems.
The complete bundle will enable SMEs to easily set up an intranet site or publish on the Internet.
"The key to the package for resellers is that it will draw in more sales of hardware, software and networking products from SMEs," said Mike Ossipoff, marketing director for Lotus Development in Australia.
"The market has been pushing us for this for some time following the unprecedented demand for Lotus Notes," Ossipoff said.
