CHA's former managing director, Peter Ball, will be relaxing on a beach for the next few months after selling his business to an investment group.
The TriFocus Group, headed by Roger Bushell, ex-CEO and founder of Tracker, and Stephen Sampson, managing director of Robust Software Australia, bought CHA last week for an undisclosed sum. The new directors of CHA, Sampson as managing director and Bushell as director of sales and marketing, will be injecting big money into CHA's operations.
The first big push will be into the Sydney market, Sampson said.
"Over the next two years we will grow the company as rapidly as we possibly can in a profitable manner. We're hands- on investors and we see the opportunity to get this company to the point where it's viable and attractive enough to either Australian or overseas investors," said Sampson.
The new directors also have plans for CHA to go national.
They are already in discussion with a couple of companies in Queensland and Perth, Sampson said, and action should be seen within the next six months.
Ball said the offer of purchase came at an "opportune time".
He said he may return to CHA on the board of directors and possibly take a position in the company.
