Wholesaler charged on tax

A Queensland-based computer wholesaler has been charged with two counts of sales tax fraud amounting to $147,000.

Robert Jozo Masic, 29, was charged on July 24 under the Crimes Act for defrauding the Commonwealth. He has been granted bail, and will appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on September 16.

An Australian Federal Police spokesperson said the case is part of a much larger and ongoing sales tax investigation being carried out by the Australian Tax Office and the Federal Police.
