Reckon, the publisher of Quicken accounting software, has fallen into line with other mainstream vendors announcing it has outsourced its distribution to Express Data.
According to Express Data's managing director, Jon Shein, Quicken will generate a substantial contribution in overall revenue over the next 12 months. He said that he expects stocks of Quicken software to be coming into the new warehouse facility at Sydney's Botany over the next few weeks. Shein added that they have plenty of room.
The distribution deal is a significant win for ED, as it was believed to have followed a competitive evaluation of other national distributors. "And it's another example of our market-leading product range," an excited Shein said.
According to Reckon, the ED arrangement more than quadruples its exposure to resellers. As well as the exposure to retailers, the distributor is expected to add grunt to Quicken's SME reach at an opportune time.
