Thanks to all the Australian Reseller News readers who returned their reader survey forms before Christmas. We had a marvellous return rate - in excess of 30 per cent. Your feedback will be used to fine-tune ARN over the next few issues, but in general you seem very pleased with the mix we already have.
It wasn't surprising to learn that local news is the most important to you. As a result we've increased our editorial team to eight people for 1998, thereby enlarging our local news section.
We've also introduced a daily news service written specifically for the channel in Australia. You can find it at ARN's home page: arn.idg.com.au and we'd value your feedback on its usefulness to you.
Feedback is going to be especially important to ARN this year. On the reader survey we asked if you'd be willing to be sent questionsby e-mail. It was very gratifying to find that most of you are happy to help in this way.
Our one concern was that surveying the channel via e-mail would skew the results because it only involves people with e-mail access, but this proved not to be a problem as almost all ARN readers now use e-mail on a regular basis.
Way back when . . .
Some changes have occurred during the six and a half years we've been producing this publication. When we started, very few of you had even thought about the Internet, let alone used it.
Now Internet and daily e-mail are a way of life, both for you, your suppliers and your customers. Oh, and your competitors too!
