Steady growth in computer purchases by small businesses at retail outlets has seen Victorian electronics retailer Clive Peeters adopt a new financing package.
Clive Peeters struck a deal with Perth-based rental finance company RentSmart to deploy a package that offers an on-the-spot, 10 minute finance approval, as well as tax deductibility of payments, a range of finance terms and the flexibility to upgrade or add equipment as required.
The package will initially be offered in Clive Peeters' electrical stores in the Melbourne suburbs of Dandenong and Ringwood, and Don Sparks, Clive Peeters' product co-ordinator, is confident the package will meet the needs of both home and small business users.
"Computers have suddenly become a very big market for electrical retailers, and there is no question that there is a growing demand amongst our small business customers for this type of facility," Sparks said.
Clive Peeters is the largest electronics reseller in Victoria, with an annual turnover of $50 million. The retailer supplies an array of products from IBM, Compaq and Packard-Bell.
