-- Toshiba recently sat down with CHA to discuss the distributor's performance in supplying Toshiba products for the latter half of last year. And the numbers are surprising --between July and December CHA grew its Toshiba business 47 per cent. ARN spies also understand that CHA is closing in on Tech Pacific as the leading distributor in Australia. At last report, CHA was claiming it was only $400,000 in Toshiba sales behind Tech Pac at the end of January.

Not a bad effort considering the dis- tributor can't touch any market outside of Victoria.

Word has it that Microsoft is still far from satisfied that Q*Soft has settled its financial obligations. Additionally two notable vendors, Compaq and Lexmark, are reportedly on the verge of terminating their involvement with the Queensland distributor.
