It's a sure bet that most end users won't understand all the language, specs and capabilities of the latest technologies. So how can a reseller educate the end user prior to their purchase, and by doing so increase demand and profit?
In an act of goodwill, with vested interest not far behind, Tech Pacific has created a means to perform just that task.
The Sydney-based distributor has added a new educational section to its monthly reseller magazine Supply Lines.
"Spotlight on", a section within the publication, focuses on current technologies and explains them comprehensively using simple "layman's" terms.
What is unique about the new section is that resellers can order up to 500 of these colour brochures separately to distribute to their customers each month. In the absence of Tech Pac's name, a reseller can effectively rebadge the brochure by adding its corporate logo to the front page for no charge.
According to Fiona Stewart, Tech Pac's marketing communications manager, "Spotlight on" has proved such a success since its debut earlier this month that an early print run of 5000 has already been lapped up.
"It's a special tool for us to give to resellers to help their business," Stewart said.
"It is all aimed at helping them sell more products."
So how does Tech Pac benefit? All products that are included in the brochure just happen to be distributed by Tech Pacific.
