Relief may be on the way for road warriors and other business users suffering from "message-itis". Executives with the disease feel dizzy and stressed because they are constantly spinning between their fax machines, PCs and mobile phones to check for fax messages, e-mail and voice messages.
The antidote to the disease is arriving in products like JFax, a software-based service that delivers faxes and phone voice messages directly to the customer's e-mail inbox.
Invented by 25-year-old musician Jaye Muller, JFax now claims thousands of users around the globe.
JFax's Australian distributor and service operator, E.Com Global Communications, is currently hunting for local channel partners to help reach its target market of 400,000 commercial e-mail users.
A $30 setup fee is charged in addition to $20 a month which buys up to 200 fax pages or 200 voice mail messages delivered to any e-mail address in the world.
