Digital's Multivendor Customer Services (MCS) and Microsoft have launched a joint support service called Microsoft Authorised Support from Digital. Using the combination of support from both companies, officials hope the service will provide increased options for mid-sized Australian organisations.
Microsoft Authorised Support from Digital offers assistance from Digital, starting from 75 support incidents per year, covering selected Microsoft multivendor products up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A key feature of the package is the provision of a Technical Account Manager (TAM) which directly oversees the customer's support relationship and attempts to help customers reduce overall support costs.
Officials expect to provide one TAM for every 10 to 12 customers, however for issues causing further difficulties, customers will need to interact directly with Microsoft engineers.
Both Digital and Microsoft will conducting a series of seminar-based education programs next month as well as providing direct mail and newsletter information to channel partners.
