SanDisk yesterday announced it will distribute its flash memory products in Australia under an agreement with Advanced Portable Technologies.
The agreement will enable SanDisk to expand its sales in Australia, according to a SanDisk statement. The two companies already have begun to distribute products jointly.
The Australian company singled out SanDisk's CompactFlash storage card as an especially useful technology for its Windows CE-based handheld computer, SanDisk said.
Advanced Portable is one of the largest distributors of mobile computing products in Australia, according to SanDisk. Its product lines include PC cards, handheld PCs and wireless communications devices that support the GSM (global system for mobile communications) standard. The company distributes products through corporate IT resellers, systems integrators and retailers.
SanDisk offers flash data storage products, including memory chip sets, storage devices and drives.
