Distributor: Authorised dealers and retail outlets Australia-wideARN product databaseAt Australian Reseller News we're changing the way we bring you new product information. Not only will we be bringing more products to you each week, but they will also be searchable on our Web site from the end of May. For those of you who are vendors and distributors and wish to submit product information, read on . . .
Submitting product information
Vendors and distributors: while we're still happy to receive press releases in the normal way, information for the product database should be submitted separately via e-mail. This enables us to present the information in a standard way, yet gives you more control over the way it is presented. If you go to our Web site you'll find a form that will show how we need you to present the information. It's at arn.idg.com.au/new_product. Alternatively, drop a note to email@example.com and we'll send you the form.
There is no charge for this service, and we expect it to quickly become the standard way the channel finds out about new products. In order to be fair to all, we ask you to limit your submissions while we get the system up and running. Eventually it will be automated, but in the meantime we're checking each submission in order to fine-tune the process.
If you have any questions, please send them to Helen Futcher at firstname.lastname@example.orgFor a guide to how the system works, see the examples on this page.
The rules (so far) are:
The product must be available for supply now.
In general, we need an end-user price, including tax. It should either be RRP (recommended retail price) or ESP (estimated street price) as appropriate.
Keep description to the facts, avoiding superlatives. We may have to edit submissions if the text is excessive or unsubstantiated.
Keep the description to 60 words.
Submissions accompanied by a publishable photo (digital or physical) stand a better chance of being printed in the paper.
