CNN Interactive (CNN.com), the world's leader in online news and information, and IDG.net (www.idg.net), the Web's largest network of technology publications, yesterday formed a strategic relationship to expand their leading news and technology services on the Web.
Under the terms of the strategic collaboration, IDG.net will be the preferred provider of technology content to CNN Interactive's Sci-Tech Computing section, located at CNN.com/TECH/computing. Leading IDG global brands - including ARN, Computerworld, Dummies Daily (TM), InfoWorld, JavaWorld, Network World, PC World, SunWorld and TipWorld - will provide news, features, reviews and tips to CNN.com. The alliance also will leverage the unique capabilities of the IDG News Service, technology media's only global news wire.
The relationship will greatly increase the amount of news and general content on CNN's Computing sub-section. Computing will now add Home Tech, Fun and Games and Tech Tips to its News, Hardware, Software and Internet categories.
In addition, CNN Interactive will offer IDG.net's users breaking news through constantly updated headlines and news summaries.
Worldwide reach will be a unique element of the partnership, leveraging the unparalleled global capabilities of both companies and expanding over time to cover major markets around the world.
