-- Since 1996 ARN has acknowledged the importance of the network integration market with its fortnightly Network Reseller section. In the coming weeks Australian Reseller News will be significantly enhancing its focus on the flourishing networking market.
This follows IDG's earlier announcement today that Network World has ceased to exist as a monthly stand-alone magazine. Commencing in July, ARN sister publication Computerworld will address networking issues for IS managers and professionals with a fortnightly section.
The exciting news for channel readers is that ARN has appointed longstanding Network World editor Philip Sim as its editor. Sim will bring to ARN a depth of understanding of the network market, and of the role that network integrators and resellers have to play. Sim initiated the Network World roundtables and case studies that will continue with ARN.
ARN will incorporate Network World by upgrading its networking coverage to the channel with an increased commitment in pages in Network Reseller. It will include hard-hitting news stories about network resellers, technology updates, product reviews and comparisons, and opinions from some of the brightest networking minds.
In addition there will be a weekly networking news section covering technology and product information for the channel.
ARN will pick up any additional Network World channel subscribers to both the publication and its daily news service, ARN Daily, to bring newsbreaks and weekly analysis.
"Network World's resources will be a significant addition to ARN's print and online services," said Don Kennedy, managing director of IDG Communications.
