CHA beefs up again

CHA beefs up again

After months of speculation, burgeoning distributor Computer Hardware of Australia (CHA) has finalised the purchase of West Australian distributor Micro SL for an undisclosed sum.

CHA picked up Queensland distributor Totally Portable last month and it purchased the Australian arm of Datamatic in December last year. CHA now has offices and warehouses in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

"The acquisition of Micro SL allows us to formally commence operations with a true national presence in all of the key markets throughout the country," said CHA's managing director Stephen Sampson.

Micro SL was established in 1985 and its key products include Toshiba and Digital.

Micro SL will assume the CHA corporate identity and the sales and marketing operations will be co-ordinated locally by Micro SL's current sales and marketing manager, Michelle Adams. This acquisition puts CHA's expected revenue in excess of $100 million dollars.
