Intel has chopped prices on its Pentium II processors by as much as 20 per cent. While not as steep as last quarter's cuts, the new Pentium II prices could shave a hundred dollars or more from systems based on Intel's high-end chips. The 266- and 300MHz Pentium IIs dropped slightly more than the new 350- and 400MHz parts, while the 333 MHz Pentium II remained unchanged.
