Toshiba has cut prices on several of its notebook computers. A 14.8 per cent reduction applies to Toshiba's Mini Note, the Libretto 100CT. Reductions also apply to the Satellite Pro 490CDT and 490XCDT, with Intel's Mobile Pentium II processor, and the Satellite 310CDT model.
The Satellite Pro 490XCDT with Pentium II 266MHx MMX processor, 32MB RAM, 13.3in TFT display and 3.8GB HDD is now priced at $8218 (RRP), down from $8565. The 490CDT, with similar specifications but a 12.1in TFT display will retail for $7060 (RRP), down from $7408.
The biggest savings, however, are on the Libretto. It has a Pentium 166MHz Tillamook processor, 32MG RAM, 2GB HDD and a 7.1in colour screen. Its RRP is now $4312, down from $5060.
In the value bracket, the Satellite 310CDT with a 200MHz Tillamook processor, 32MB RAM and 16x CD-ROM will now retail for $4255, down from $4485.
