Computer Associates (CA) financial results will be released tomorrow, but chairman and chief executive officer Charles Wang says the company is on target for a reasonable result.
Wang was in Sydney for the "100% club" sales function which honours CA sales staff who have achieved 100 per cent of their budget.
In April, Wang announced CA was aiming for 50 per cent of its sales through the channel. Currently, that figure is "a shade under 20 per cent", he said. The full figure should be reached by 2001.
Wang said the range of "channel exclusive" products, which were released in June, would boost those figures. So far, he says the products have been "very well received". Eight or nine new products, specifically for channel sales, will be released shortly.
Wang also announced CA would be making a considerable financial donation to the Australian Cranio Facial Foundation.
