Would you like fries - I mean a keyboard - with that upgrade?

According to Melinda Dunn, Interactive Media Group product manager at Microsoft, the recent release of the Natural Keyboard Elite is timed to provide an add-on sale for those upgrading to Windows 98.

Although it includes a USB adaptor (for use on PCs with a USB port), the keyboard will suit any PC with a PS/2 port.

"In a would-you-like-fries-with-that approach, resellers should offer the Natural Keyboard Elite to anyone buying Windows 98," said Dunn.

Dunn added that there are also opportunities to move the new keyboard with Windows 98 versions of games such as Golf 98, Monster Truck Madness II, and Outlaws and Flight Simulator 98.

Building on its three million unit-selling predecessor, the Elite is claimed to have better ergonomic features and incorporates a smaller footprint, USB compatibility and a lower estimated street price of $119.
