Channel changes in the wind at Apple

Apple this week announced details on its new sales and channel strategy, moving more towards a direct sales model.

The Mac maker took to heart the direct sales deeds of former clonemaker and recent acquisition Power Computing, to give the vendor a more balanced sales strategy. Over the past month Apple has made several changes to its sales model including trimming the number of US distributors and lowering the volume resellers are required to purchase on an annual basis.by
