IBM has expanded its ServicePac technical support package for small and growing businesses.
Customers can now activate the service online through IBM's World Wide Web site. ServicePac also can be purchased when customers worldwide buy a Netfinity server. Users further have the option of ServicePac for PC Clustered Servers, enabling installation services for customers buying two or more Netfinity servers with Microsoft's Windows NT clustering software.
An Internet services package is being offered now as well, and includes 11 different packages in three categories -- Internet Starter Kits, IBM Content Hosting Kits and IBM Domino Hosting Kits, which include a variety of bundled electronic commerce services for a monthly fee.
Prices for the ServicePac options were not released during the press conference and were not included in an accompanying statement from IBM.
Besides the packaged services, IBM officials outlined a series of previous related announcements and expansion of offerings that also were previously detailed. The company's Business Needs Analysis Tool, for instance, now is available in eight languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish. The free analysis software helps companies evaluate which business operations would benefit from technology updates.
