Tech Pac brings telecommunications division home

Tech Pacific is bringing its telecommunications sister company TelePacific back under the Tech Pac umbrella.

From January 1, 1999 TelePacific will be the telecommunications division of Tech Pacific, distributing mobile phones, data products, cellular accessories and Key Telephone Systems for vendors like Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Alcatel, Phillips and NEC.

Tech Pacific's general manager David Cullen, said: "Our service delivery goals are one of the main reasons behind the decision to integrate Tech Pacific and its cellular mobile phone distribution activities within Tech Pacific Australia."

TelePacifics warehouse will close in early 1999 and all inventory and operation staff will transfer to the recently completed Matraville Distribution Centre.

The new division will be headed by Wendy O'Keeffe who will report to David Cullen. All customer and vendor activities will be managed by O'Keefe, while distribution and finance will be handled by the finance and operations unit of Tech Pacific Australia.
