Notebook vendor, Toshiba pushed the processor speed bar a notch higher last week when it launched the Portégé 7010CT, an upgrade to the Portégé 7000 model which was released just 3 months ago.
Priced at $7970 and featuring Intel's 300MZ mobile Pentium II processor, the Portégé 7010CT features a full 512KB of Level 2 cache and standard 32MB of RAM capable of expanding to 160MB.
Meanwhile, the vendor also added enhancements to its Toshiba Satellite and Tecra 8000 portable PC series. Now included in the Satellite model is Intel's 440BX system chipset, while the notebook also supports Windows 95 & 98 and the latest ACPI power management standards.
The Tecra 8000 series now includes a new 12.1in colour DSTN screen and is priced at $4395.
