Now is the chance to sort out all your questions about the changes to the sales tax legislation. Officials from the Australian Taxation Office will be on hand during this week's PC Show in Melbourne (October 28-31).
The ATO will be running an information table in the ARN Reseller Lounge during the week, and they'll be the keynote speakers at Saturday's Reseller Forum, also at the show.
There will be some Reseller Forum seats available on the day.
The ATO executives expect to cover topics such as: what Part 7A goods are; complaints and feedback from resellers; how to claim refunds and exemptions; what's meant by "manufacturing"; strategies for educating people; and enforcing compliance with regard to Part 7A goods.
They will also have application forms for dealers and end users, along with copies of bulletins and information sheets outlining the changes to the sales tax law as they apply to various areas. Other subjects for discussion at the ARN forum will include: "What concerns resellers about the IT channel in Australia?" and "Do we need an industry code of conduct?"
The ARN Reseller Forum will be held on Saturday morning in Hospitality Suite 3 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. It starts at 9am sharp, and runs through until lunchtime, giving you time to attend the show as well.
