CIO Magazine has launched a weekly electronic news review and analysis service for the top 1000 CIO's in Australia. The CIO executive briefing consists of several content areas including a news summary of the major events of the week, a focus on emerging technologies, a review of trend line issues from the US, an analysts corner including input from major IT analysts world wide, and an issues at large section which takes the form of a major feature focusing on an important topic of the moment.
CIO's receive a single email document with short summaries on each topic. These summaries also include hot links back to the complete article on the CIO Web site (http://cio.idg.com.au).
"The goal is to provide busy IT executives with a quick snap-shot of the major issues of the week, as well as offering them to chance to investigate issues behind the news in more detail," according to Linda Kennedy, Publisher, CIO.
Content for the service is drawn from IDG Communications' global news service, as well as from local IDG titles including ComputerWorld Today, Network World Today and other online services.
Initially, the CIO Executive Briefing, which does not attract a fee, is targeting CIO's in the top 1000 corporate sites in Australia.
