Fast-growing integrator PowerLan scooped two awards at Intel's Reseller of the Year awards last week.
Other winning resellers included Unitafe, Source Technology, Lodin, Southern Cross Systems and CPM&S.
PowerLan was recognised as Value Added Reseller of the Year for the northern region, while Powerlan's Mark Fischer won the award for best technical rep of the year, northern region.
Tim Mahoney, PowerLan's general manager, told ARN that PowerLan and Intel had built a very strong relationship on the networking front.
"Intel came to market in a very aggressive pricing mode with some unique switching products. As sales people, that got us very enthused."
"We kicked off an excellent relationship with our Intel rep and we've had the enthusiasm to drive the technology."
The southern region Value Added Reseller of the year was CPM&S, which has excelled by selling into the South Australian education market.
The awards for Intel's Genuine Dealers of the Year went to Source Technology for the northern region and Lodin for the southern region. Source Technology capped off a memorable period for the company, with this award coming on the back of its recent $10 million contract with Retravision. The troubled Lodin received a welcome boost with its award, recognised in part for its adoption of Intel as standard offer for the SPC Government Contracts for South Australia.
Intel also awarded its first Intel Authorised Solutions Provider (IASP) of the Year to Southern Cross Computer Systems for its achievement in becoming the first IASP.
Individual northern region awards also went to Philip Press from Unitafe who was Reseller Sales Rep of the Year, while Tech Pacific's Mike O'Brien was Distributor Product Manager of the Year. For the southern region, Martin Burns from Ipex was Reseller Sales Rep of the Year, David Duncan from Source was Technical Rep of the Year and Kee Ong from Synnex was Distributor Product Manager of the Year.
