Little more than a month after declaring it was going after Australia's biggest integrators, Fore Systems has signed a partnership arrangement with NCR.
Under the agreement, NCR will resell and provide integration services for Fore's network equipment.
"The services provided are part of our Network Advisor Program, which offers our global customers world-class planning, design, implementation and support for ATM networked environments," said Dean Vaughan, general manager for services at NCR Australia.
Fore's general manager for Australia and New Zealand Grant Morrison said NCR represents a good fit with Fore as it has significant expertise in "high-end computing solutions".
"This partnership provides an exciting opportunity to showcase the performance and scalability of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology to NCR's customers across Australia."
Fore also officially announced its certification training program, which provides both channel partners and end users with training in how to install, configure, operate and maintain an ATM network.
"For some years now the Australian market generally and our business partners in particular have been crying out for world-class training in ATM technology," said Morrison. "The lack of certified training in this area has helped produce a widespread misconception that ATM technology is difficult to install and maintain. As well as delivering several other benefits, these courses will clearly demonstrate that organisations have nothing to fear from ATM and that migrating to it can be done simply and with complete confidence."
The Fore training will be provided by IT training specialist Milcom Communications, from its headquarters in Rhodes, Sydney.
Certification is a requirement of Fore's Partner Program.
