Compuware bundles IBM's DB2 with UNIFACE

Compuware has agreed to bundle IBM's DB2 Universal Database with its component-based development tool UNIFACE.

Announcing the agreement, Compuware and IBM officials claimed the relationship will help software developers and VARs provide major cost savings on the delivery of enterprise application solutions.

"The combination of IBM's DB2 with Compuware's UNIFACE development platform provides robust database capabilities, enhanced change management, increased productivity, better quality and dramatically reduced time-to-market for VARs and their customers," IBM Software Group vice president Steve Solazzo said.

According to Compuware, the company has already begun working its Australian resellers to include DB2 Universal Database with the UNIFACE application development tools.
