Platinum Software has upped the ante in the hot customer relationship management (CRM) market with the recent release of an upgraded version of its Clientele product.
New features in Clientele 7.0 include: enhanced list and campaign management functionality; the addition of a change request feature enabling staff to track customer requests; and a spellchecker.
Platinum officials claim the new list and campaign management capabilities enable users to create customised lists of prospects and customers to be targeted for communication via mail, fax or e-mail.
Meanwhile, the new change request feature allows customer service and support personnel to track and manage product defects and enhancement requests, according to Platinum.
Clientele 7.0's form templates for developing customised forms have also been improved. Each template automatically adds standard buttons, fields and code to new forms to ease customisation.
Platinum officials also introduced ClienteleNet, Clientele's Internet solution, which they say enables customers to self-register products via the Web. New product registration forms also allow users to register products sold by their own staff or distributors.
